Bio .......My Landscape and Seascape work are influenced by my upbringing in the Western District of rural Victoria where I spent my early years. The amazing colours of the seasons are a never ending source of inspiration. I work predominantly with oil paints and love the texture and the permanency of colour which holds true for many years.
The Bowler Hat / Surrealism series (inspired by Magritte and Dali) are stories of ideas and meanings and some people who buy them often say they have just found a few more hidden elements years later.
The Cafe series are painted in vibrant acrylic colours, inspired by a trip to Paris and its wonderful food and wine culture. These paintings are all whimsical and so much fun to create.
I paint most days in my home studio loft overlooking Lake Colac.
