This painting was inspired by childhood memories of Christmas Holidays at a very special beach.  I remember the excitement of clambering over the rocks at the edge of the each, anticipating what was to be found once I had climbed over them.  that feeling of adventure and discovery has never left me.  I enjoyed painting the strong structural forms of these rocks and the variety of colours within them.
