Artists we represent
JANE DOWNING
As a South-west Victoria resident- my artwork represents our coastal community along the Great Ocean Road. My work is a response to the the landscape and seascape around us. Be it the rolling hills of Illowa; the surf lines making their way into Gibson steps or the patchwork paddocks of Princetown. All of this beauty I represent in my work in work in line, pattern and texture.
JO DUNSMUIR
I've spent most of my life drawing, off and on.
My grandmother was a watercolour artist and taught me to draw when I was a child. Completing a course in Interior Decoration brought me back to drawing in pencil, followed by experimenting with watercolour, and finding a new passion for painting with acrylic. The immediacy of this medium, and the colour possibilities have me hooked!
I am largely self taught, but am an enthusiastic workshop and course attendee.
I have a long time love of floral still life.
KARLIJN SAS
Karlijn likes painting that offers the viewer the freedom to interpret their own visual pleasure. Most of her works come from a specific place or topic that will get pasted into the canvas in multiple coats of acrylic. Living in the natural environment greatly influences her paintings
DWAYNE HUTTON
Dwayne Hutton is a Melbourne based painter creating colourful abstract paintings, channelling emotions that can at times be confrontational, letting go during the process of painting so that colours collide and occur in an uncontrolled manner, the result of feeling rather than thinking. The paintings have a sense of depth, featuring layers and layers of oil paint, intricate detail and colour.
MERRIAN DENNIS
Her artwork is expressionistic with a strong use of line and form. Merrian’s artwork reflects the rural volcanic landscape of the Western District and her love of magpies and nature. Merrian has a formal qualification in ceramics and the Visual Arts from Ballarat University.
HELEN DURANT
Inspired by the patterns, colours and textures within the landscape, Helen create vibrant, semi-abstract paintings that celebrate the natural and man-made features of places she is connected to, in particular the volcanic landscapes of South West Victoria. Her compositions are created from direct observation and then translated in an expressive and intuitive way based on her feelings and responses.
MARGARET DELAHUNTY-SPENCER
Margie is a full time practicing artist, painting predominantly large scale abstract pieces constructed using both acrylic and oil, on linen or canvas. She is interested in the gestural mark-making, the intuitive response, suspending self judgement until the moment has passed. Her works are imbued with the joy of living lightly and harmoniously on the earth.
LEVANA VOS
“Capturing the light is everything. Light in nature creates the movement of colour. Painting something beautiful is easy when the view in front of you is beautiful.” Levana works in mediums including are colour, pastels, charcoal, encaustic and oil.

HEATHER BRYANT
Local quality handmade leather goods, made to order saddlery, repairs and design.
KIRSTEN MOEGERLEIN
Kirsten lives herlife in widening circles by bringing peripheral stories into view and building visual life rafts – with beauty as my rudder. She loves to water seeds of otherwise cultures, and embody future potentialities through conversation, but what really makes her heart sing is making playful rituals, with a nod to the absurd.
CHRIS ASPLAND
Chris Aspland is an abstract realist painter from the Surf Coast of Victoria. She is representational in her expression of still life and portraiture to reflect the interconnected storylines within communities.
Her practice uses nostalgic archetypes from a bygone era that make social comment about the everyday lives and experiences of people in the community. Specifically, women in the domestic environment.
Her predominant use of oils and acrylics also evokes these feelings of nostalgia. She often combines these traditional media with collage and a limited pallet that similarly arouses sentimental connections.
The combination of abstraction and realism within her work highlights the ephemeral yet eternal quality of human connection.
