Jane Downing is a self taught abstract artist based in Melbourne, Australia creating colourful, thought provoking pieces since 2016. Born in South West Victoria, Jane relocated to Melbourne to pursue a career in the corporate sector dabbling in creating art along the way.
As time went on, the creative side of Jane came to the fore after a series of personal experiences. At this time, Jane decided to devote time to the joy of creating art and exploring her art practice fulltime. Inspired by her inner thoughts, life experiences her work evokes a sense of intrigue and interest.
Exhibiting in many group and solo shows, Jane’s work has been acquired by private collectors in Australia and internationally.
